How do I use the site to find franchise opportunities?

There are several ways to navigate around the site to find your ideal franchise opportunity.

Browse categories

Franchise categories are listed on the homepage. Click on a category that interests you and a list of all franchises within that category will appear. You can be even more specific by selecting one of the subcategories that will have appeared below the chosen category on the left-hand panel.

Alternatively, you can conduct a search using the following filters, which are found at the top of the home page or the top of a category page or search results.

Keyword search

You can filter franchises for sale by typing keywords into the ‘Keyword’ text box. You could either type keywords related to a specific niche – for example ‘pizza’, ‘consultancy’ or ‘sports’ – or a specific brand – e.g. ‘McDonald’s’ or ‘Prontaprint’.

Category search

Choose from among dozens of categories, from advertising/marketing to work from home, and subcategories, for example cleaning franchises include: carpet cleaning, commercial cleaning services and domestic cleaning franchises.

Personal investment

You can also refine your search according to your financial means, specifying a minimum and/or maximum investment level.

Country advertises franchise opportunities in several countries around the world. Browse franchises for sale abroad by toggling between countries on the top-right corner of the screen.

How do I find out more about a franchise opportunity?

To contact a franchisor you must complete the contact form at the bottom of the relevant franchise brochure page. You should include as much information as possible about yourself and why the franchise opportunity interests you to ensure a prompt and favourable response.

The information visible on the franchise advert is all the information has on the franchise in question. We are not an agent or an intermediary. We are an advertising medium – like a newspaper or magazine, but on the web.

All emails sent through are sent using our secure and confidential email system. Please be assured that the only recipient of your email will be the franchisor concerned.

Some franchisors will ask you to sign a confidentiality agreement before disclosing further information. Also called a non-disclosure agreement, by signing you are agreeing not to disclose any sensitive information about the franchise, such as financial records, to other parties.

Do I have to pay to obtain more information?

No. We allow you to contact franchisors free of charge. You don’t need to register or pay any kind of membership fee.

Why hasn’t the franchisor replied to my enquiry?

Although most franchisors will respond to your enquiries quickly, some can be slow to reply because they check their enquiries infrequently or the person who checks the enquiries is away on holiday.

Franchisors will give you a call, email a response, send you information through the post or a combination of the three – so check your post box, voicemail messages and emails regularly. Most franchisors will reply promptly, but even if they don’t, do not be deterred from making further enquiries.

We urge you to explain in your enquiry why a franchise opportunity interests you and why you think you have the right experience and attributes. This shows that your interest is genuine and helps the franchisor establish your suitability to the franchise opportunity from the outset, thus potentially saving you time and effort.

On average it takes up to one week for a franchisor to reply to your enquiries (You should therefore wait at least seven days before resubmitting your enquiry).

If you still haven’t received a response after one working week then please forward details of your enquiry, including the franchise name and approximate date you enquired, to our customer services team. Once our customer services team can verify that you sent your enquiry more than five working days ago they will investigate why the franchisor has not responded.

Why must I provide so much personal information?

In your initial enquiry it is in your interest to outline clearly and honestly why a franchise interests you and why you think you might be suited to the role. This proves your enquiry is genuine and helps the franchisor establish your credentials to run the franchise from the outset, thus potentially saving you much time and effort if it transpires that you are ill-suited.

You may notice that some contact forms list more questions than others. This is because franchisors can ask us to add questions to the standard form to qualify their leads more rigorously.

How do I change or update my account details?

To update your account details please contact us.

If you would like to make any changes to your brochure pages (price changes, adding more information or pictures, etc), then again, please contact us and we will update the page within two working days.

How can I view my leads?

Once your account is activated, you provide us with an email address (or as many as you need). Any enquiry made on your franchise opportunity will be instantly delivered directly to this email address.

Alternatively, should you wish, we can give you a username and password so you can log into your account at any time, and view all enquiries received over a given date range.

Should there ever be a problem with email delivery, remember that you can access all enquiries from this secure account area.

How do I submit a press release?
